Partnership with Global Agro-technology Leaders
The Agadir Center of Horticultural Excellence (CHE) is a global-level, high-tech infrastructure dedicated to scientific research and technological innovation. This center aims to promote research and innovation with the purpose of:
- Providing support mechanisms to farmers for overcoming agricultural challenges;
- Offering producers the latest advancements in precision agriculture to enhance their yield and crop quality;
- Delivering comprehensive end-to-end agricultural project services to farmers, including turnkey high-tech greenhouse solutions, all backed by the Agadir Horticultural Complex team of scientists and researchers;
- Designing optimal growth conditions for crops while minimizing losses;
- Establishing a demonstration platform for more profitable horticultural techniques: higher yields while saving significant amounts of water, fertilizers, and energy.
These horticultural research and innovation avenues can only be developed by bringing together global agro-technology leaders and Moroccan horticultural professionals to value research outcomes. The Center of Horticultural Excellence is indeed designed and implemented by pioneering Dutch companies specializing in high-tech greenhouse construction, in close collaboration with established Moroccan companies in this field.
Zone A (1-2-3): Trial and demonstration plots. This zone will allow for testing the results of research carried out by the teams and serve as a base for producer demonstrations.
Zone B (4-5-6): Small plots dedicated to conducting research. Each plot is made available for a fixed period to a research team for conducting experiments.
-High-tech infrastructure for scientific research: Aiming to produce a minimum of 5 PhDs per year, totaling 50 PhDs by 2033.
-An environment conducive to practical student training: 25 internships per year.
-Continuous learning: 12 Farm-Manager sessions and training sessions beneficial for producers each year.
