As part of the collaborations between the Regional Development Company for Agricultural Innovation (SDRIA) and the Horticultural Complex of Agadir (CHA) with internationally renowned research institutions, we are pleased to announce the opening of applications for 2 PhD positions in Innovative Water Resources Management.

This program is intended for talented and motivated research profiles who wish to contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge, innovative agricultural practices, and to the legacy of the CHA.

• The selected candidate will benefit from:

• The selected candidate will conduct their research at renowned partner universities and research centers starting from October 2025.

Eligibility Criteria :

• • Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Agronomy, Horticulture, Soil Science, Rural Engineering, Hydrology, or Environmental Sciences.

  • Proven skills in irrigation and water management in agriculture; soil science and fertilization (nutrient dynamics, impact of salinity); crop physiology and stress tolerance (response to drought, salinity, and fertilization); hydrology and environmental sustainability (water reuse, climate change adaptation); GIS and remote sensing (optional).

  • Proficiency in French and English.

  • Outstanding abilities in communication, teamwork, and autonomous management.

  • A candidate committed to pursuing a well-defined and clearly outlined academic and professional career path.

  • Availability to collaborate with international partners.

  • The preselection of candidates will be based on merit criteria and will take into account the candidate’s academic background (years of study, grades obtained, etc.).

Application Procedure:

• Preselected candidates will be invited to an interview to assess their suitability and motivation for this PhD program. In-person interviews will be held starting from September 10, 2025, at CHA-Agadir.

• Selected candidates will participate in an additional online interview with the committee of the partner institutions.
